Tartu Plastic Products Test Factory
The Kase Factory has grown out of the Karksi-Nuia production of the former Tartu Plastic Products Testing Factory
In 1975, the woodworking production producing wooden toys in Karksi-Nuia, which previously belonged to “Norma,” was merged with the “Tartu Plastic Products Testing Factory.” Since 1975, toy production has primarily focused on wooden toys, with fewer toys made from metal and plastic. Additionally, the workshop continued to manufacture toys introduced during the “Norma” era.
Wood processing has been taking place for over fifty years
The Karksi-Nuia factory was liquidated during the land reform process that began in 1991. Toy production was transferred to the Tartu factory, where the manufacturing of toys gradually decreased over time. As of today, toy production at the former Tartu Plastic Products Testing Factory has ceased.
Kase Factory OÜ is located on a 2.66-hectare plot of land in Karksi-Nuia, Southern Viljandi County. The production area is approximately 3300 square meters, supplemented by a new production building with an area of 1000 square meters completed in 2007.
